Locations and bins

Track where every item physically lives in PalmFlow — zones, shelves, and bins — so you can find anything fast when it sells.

The moment something sells, the only question that matters is: *where is it?* PalmFlow's locations turn "somewhere in the garage" into a bin you can walk to.

How locations work

A location is a place an item physically lives — a zone, a shelf, a tote, a bin. You can keep it as simple as a handful of bins or build out a more detailed map as your inventory grows.

  1. 1Create the locations that match your space in Settings or directly while editing an item.
  2. 2Assign each item a location when you add it (or in bulk later).
  3. 3When an order comes in, the item's location tells you exactly where to pick it.

Why it's worth the few seconds

  • Faster picking — no rummaging when an order needs to ship today.
  • Fewer "can't find it" cancellations — every item has a known home.
  • Cleaner counts — you can audit a shelf against what PalmFlow says is on it.

Tips

  • Label your physical bins with the same names you use in PalmFlow. A bin called A-12 in the app should read A-12 on the shelf.
  • Combine locations with barcode scanning for fast put-away: scan the item, set the bin, done.
  • Moving an item to a new bin is recorded on its timeline, so you always have the history of where it's been.

PalmFlow is inventory, eBay sync, and bookkeeping for resellers — in one place.
