Background

• Vendoo was founded in 2017 in Washington, DC, and went through Y Combinator in 2022. It's a crosslisting app — its core job is posting one item to 10+ marketplaces through a Chrome extension, with eBay connected through eBay's official API.
• PalmFlow launched in 2026. It's a reseller operations platform — inventory, orders, cost basis, and P&L built around server-side eBay, Shopify and Discogs sync. It doesn't crosslist; it runs the business behind the listings.
• The practical difference: Vendoo's sale detection scans your marketplaces about every 10 minutes while your computer and browser are running. PalmFlow's eBay, Shopify and Discogs sync runs on PalmFlow's servers, so orders land whether your machine is on or not.

Concepts

The two tools organize the same business differently. Here's how Vendoo's concepts map onto PalmFlow's.

Before you start

Ten minutes of setup makes the rest of this boring, which is what you want when you're moving two years of records.

• A Vendoo login on any plan. The CSV export isn't gated — it's there on Free.
• Your eBay account credentials, for the API connection in step 2.
• A PalmFlow account. Start on Free to look around; the CSV importers are part of Pro, so you'll want Pro active before step 3.
• A spreadsheet app — Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets — in case you need to rename one column.
• Decide now whether you're keeping Vendoo for crossposting. Plenty of sellers run both; it changes nothing about the steps below, but it decides whether you cancel at the end.

Moving your data

The whole move takes about fifteen minutes for a typical closet. Vendoo's CSV export is available on every plan, including Free, and it carries the two things eBay can't tell us: what you paid, and what you already sold.

   Export your inventory from Vendoo

   Vendoo's export is the best in the category — it carries cost of goods, marketplace fees, and sold rows, which is the data no marketplace can give you back. Take all of it.

   1. Sign in to Vendoo and open Inventory from the left sidebar.
   2. Clear any filters so you're looking at every item, not just one marketplace or status.
   3. Click the blue multi-action button in the top right and choose the CSV export option. (Settings → CSV export gets you to the same place.)
   4. Choose all inventory rather than a date range — you want drafts, listed, and sold in one file.
   5. Save the file somewhere you'll find it again, and open it once to confirm the cost, fees, and sold columns actually have values in them.

   If the cost column is mostly empty, this is the moment to fill it in — in the spreadsheet, in bulk, before you import. Costs are what turn PalmFlow's P&L from a revenue report into a profit report, and they're far more tedious to add item by item later.

   Connect eBay to PalmFlow

   Do this before the CSV import, not after. eBay brings in your live listings with their real prices and quantities, which gives the imported rows something to match against — and it means the CSV only has to fill in the gaps.

   1. In PalmFlow, open Settings → Integrations.
   2. Find eBay and click Connect. You'll be handed to eBay's own sign-in page to authorize the connection — PalmFlow never sees your eBay password.
   3. Pick the eBay marketplace you actually sell on. If you sell on eBay UK, Canada, or Australia, choose it here rather than leaving it on the US default.
   4. Wait for the first sync to finish. Your active listings land as items with titles, prices, and quantities.
   5. If you run a Shopify store, connect it the same way while you're on this screen.

   From this moment on, new eBay orders arrive by themselves, with fees attached, whether or not your computer is on. That's the piece a browser-extension tool can't do.

   Import the Vendoo CSV

   PalmFlow reads Vendoo's column layout without a mapping step, and it shows you its reading of your file before it writes a single row.

   1. Go to Inventory and click Import CSV in the toolbar.
   2. Choose your Vendoo export.
   3. Read the preview. It tells you how many new items you'll get, how many sold rows will become orders, how many rows it will skip as duplicates, which column it read as what, and which columns it ignored.
   4. Check the sample rows underneath — they show your first few items exactly as PalmFlow parsed them, so a mangled price or date is visible before it's real.
   5. Confirm. Sold rows become orders with sale price, fees, platform, and date, so your history lands in the P&L rather than sitting in a spreadsheet.

   Rows whose SKU already exists are skipped, so consistent SKUs are what stop the eBay import and the CSV from producing two copies of the same item. If you never used SKUs in Vendoo, trim the CSV down to the items eBay didn't already bring in before you import.

   Bring over anything the inventory file missed

   Two kinds of record don't belong in an inventory file, and PalmFlow imports each on its own: sales that predate what Vendoo tracked, and business costs that aren't the cost of an item.

   1. For older sales, download an eBay Seller Hub orders report (Seller Hub → Reports → Downloads), then import it from Orders → Import CSV.
   2. For supplies, subscriptions, mileage, and shipping materials, import a sheet or a card statement from Expenses → Import CSV.
   3. Both show the same dry-run preview as the inventory importer — detected columns, counts, and warnings — before anything is written.

   Sales and expense files are capped at 2,000 rows each. If you're bringing years of history, split the file by year rather than risking a half-finished import.

   Check the numbers

   Reconcile before you cancel anything. This is a five-minute check that saves a bad afternoon.

   1. Open Reports and set the range to a period you already know the answer for — last month is ideal.
   2. Compare revenue and item count against Vendoo's sales report for the same range.
   3. Spot-check three sold items: the sale price, the fees, and the cost basis should all match what actually happened.
   4. If something's wrong, undo the whole import in one click from the result message, fix the sheet, and run it again.

What transfers

What comes with you, and how.

PalmFlow doesn't crosslist. If posting to many marketplaces is the core of your workflow, see the conclusion below before you switch.
