Moving your data

   You want three files out of this step. Take them in one sitting so they're all from the same moment.

   1. Sign in to MRG and open your inventory table.
   2. Click Filters if you only want part of it — otherwise leave it clear to take everything.
   3. Click Export. The file downloads as a CSV.
   4. Repeat on your sales table and your expenses table.
   5. Open each file once and confirm the cost, price, and date columns actually have values in them.

   MRG works in chunks of roughly 1,000 records for bulk operations. If you have more history than that, filter by year and export a file per year — which is how you'll want to import them anyway, since PalmFlow's sales and expense importers cap at 2,000 rows per file.

   Connect eBay to PalmFlow

   This is the step that gives you a live inventory rather than an accounting record of one.

   1. In PalmFlow, open Settings → Integrations.
   2. Find eBay and click Connect, then authorize on eBay's own sign-in page.

   4. Let the first sync finish — active listings arrive as items with titles, prices, and quantities.
   5. Connect Shopify the same way if you run a store.

   1. Go to Inventory → Import CSV and choose your MRG inventory file.
   2. Read the preview: new items, sold rows becoming orders, duplicates it will skip, and every column matched or ignored.
   3. Confirm your cost column is matched — PalmFlow reads cost, cogs, purchase price, cost of goods, and cost basis as the same field.
   4. Confirm the import.

   MRG's inventory is a cost record; PalmFlow's is a physical one. Nothing in the export says which shelf an item is on, so if you already know, add a column headed location — or bin, shelf, or warehouse — before importing. It's much faster than assigning bins one by one afterward.

   Import sales and expenses

   The other two files go to their own importers, and both show the same dry-run preview before writing anything.

   1. Import the sales file from Orders → Import CSV.
   2. Import the expenses file from Expenses → Import CSV. Categories PalmFlow doesn't recognize are created for you rather than dropped.
   3. An expense with the same date, description, amount, and vendor as one already in your ledger is skipped rather than booked twice, so a re-run is safe.

   Imported sales are historical records. A row matching an item you already have links to it but doesn't change that item's quantity or status — your live stock stays whatever eBay says it is.

   MRG gives you a P&L you already trust, which makes it the ideal thing to reconcile against.

   1. Open Reports and set the range to last tax year.
